Before diving into this overnight treatment, I made sure to prep everything I needed:
Supplies:
-
Raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar (with the “mother”)
-
Spray bottle
-
Shower cap
-
Old towel (to protect my pillow)
-
Water (for dilution)
Important: Dilution Matters
I mixed ACV and water in a 1:1 ratio to reduce acidity and minimize potential irritation. I also did a patch test on a small section of my scalp to check for sensitivity — highly recommended!
Application: How I Applied ACV to My Hair
-
I poured the diluted ACV into a spray bottle.
-
Sprayed it evenly onto my scalp and hair, section by section.
-
Massaged my scalp gently to stimulate circulation and ensure even coverage.
-
Covered my hair with a shower cap to prevent drying and avoid drips.
-
Wrapped an old towel around my pillowcase — just in case.
Then I went to bed, curious about what I’d wake up to.
